Allahabad HC stays arrest of Chhota Rajan gang sharpshooter Bachcha Pasi in attempt-to-murder case

Allahabad High Court granted relief to Nihal Kumar alias Bachcha Pasi, a sharpshooter of the Chhota Rajan gang and a former councilor, accused of allegedly attacking project manager Satendra Kumar of a private company.
The High Court stayed his arrest until further orders.

The order was passed on Friday by a division bench comprising Justice JJ Munir and Justice Pramod Kumar Srivastava. While staying the arrest, the court has allowed the police to continue their investigation and has sought responses from all respondents within two weeks.

The case pertains to an incident on September 11, when Satendra Kumar, project manager of Preeti Buildcon, the executing agency for the CM Grid project, was attacked with intent to kill. A day later, on September 12, an FIR was registered at Dhumanganj police station in Prayagraj against Bachcha Pasi and an unidentified person, based on the victim’s complaint.

Chhota Rajan’s sharpshooter, Bachcha Pasi subsequently filed a petition in Allahabad High Court seeking the quashing of the FIR, claiming he was being falsely implicated. His counsel argued that the charges were baseless and motivated.
The court has fixed October 27 as the next date of hearing.

Bachcha Pasi, was also accused in the infamous Mumbai’s Kala Ghoda shootout between Dawood Ibrahim gang and Chhota Rajan’s shooters.Several members of the Rajan gang, including Rajesh Yadav, Zafar Supari, and Bachcha Pasi, were later arrested in Uttar Pradesh in connection with the case.
