Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that a conspiracy has been hatched to create anarchy in the state in the guise of a paper leak complaint from a single centre of the recently held state subordinate services selection examination. The Dhami government on Thursday bulldozed the house of the accused in the paper leak case.

In a public statement made on Thursday, Dhami said that some people are unhappy with the transparency brought in by the state government in the selection process for government jobs through state-level competitive examination. He said these people are trying to usher in mass unrest in the state against his government.

“Some anti-government hands in the state are unhappy with the reforms our government has brought in through the anti-copying law. Efforts are being made to create mass unrest against the government. A recent attempt to leak the question paper of the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission(UKSSSC) examination was unsuccessful.

“Now conspirators are making an attempt to spread anarchy based on a complaint from mere one centre of the UKSSSC examination,” said the Chief Minister. He affirmed that a strict law was already in place to deal with paper leak cases, and now harsh action will be taken in the ongoing probe by an SIT formed by the state government.

“Decisive action will be taken against all accused and arrested persons after the probe report is submitted to the government in a month. Anti-government people are conspiring in an organised way to leak papers of competitive examinations and push the future of the youth into darkness, laying the blame on the government for the same. However, no guilty will be spared in the matter.”

Meanwhile, the Hardiwar district administration has bulldozed the house of Khalid, the main accused in the paper leak matter of the UKSSSC examination held on September 21. A team from the Haridwar Development Authority, district administration, and the police arrived at the house of Khalid, along with a JCB, and brought down a portion of his house for illegal construction. It was done after a formal short notice issued by the district administration to Khalid’s family.
