The Department of Consumer Affairs under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution has invited online applications for the post of Member in the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC).
The notification also covers any other anticipated vacancies for the post that may arise till the closing date, which has been set as October 24, 2025.

The NCDRC, headquartered here, is the apex consumer commission and functions as a quasi-judicial body established under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Applications will be accepted only through online mode on NCDRC website from September 25, 2025.
According to the Ministry, the qualifications, eligibility, salary, and service conditions will be governed by the provisions of the Tribunal Reforms Act, 2021 and the Tribunal (Conditions of Service) Rules, 2021.
A search-cum-election committee, constituted under the Tribunal Reforms Act, will scrutinize applications, assess candidates on qualifications and experience and shortlist them for personal interaction. The final selection will be based on the overall evaluation of academic credentials, professional experience, and interaction performance.
Candidates are required to forward a copy of the online application along with prescribed documents to the Under Secretary (CPU), Department of Consumer Affairs, Room No. 466-A, Krishi Bhavan, New Delhi by October 24, 2025.
