A fresh political storm has erupted in Bihar with the BJP alleging on Sunday that offensive language was used against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother during RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s ‘Bihar Adhikar Yatra’.
BJP leaders claimed that the viral video clip was recorded during a RJD public rally in the Vaishali district on Saturday.

However, the RJD has vehemently denied the allegations, asserting that the BJP is circulating a doctored video to malign the party’s image ahead of the crucial Assembly polls. RJD spokesperson Chitranjan Gagan challenged the BJP to prove that the audio in the video clip they circulated was actually recorded during Tejashwi Yadav’s speech. He demanded a public apology from the saffron party if it failed to do so.

This fresh controversy came weeks after outrage over a similar complaint from the BJP of abusive remarks allegedly made against PM Modi’s mother during the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in the state following the circulation of an AI-generated video depicting the prime minister and his late mother, shared by Bihar Congress.
Launching a scathing attack, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai alleged that the offensive language is being repeatedly used against the Prime Minister and his mother as part of a well-orchestrated political conspiracy.
Union Minister and LJP (Ram Vilas) president Chirag Paswan also criticised the RJD, recalling a similar episode during the last parliamentary elections, where derogatory remarks were made against him and his mother in Tejashwi Yadav’s presence.
He added that the people are now ready to teach a lesson to those who stoop to such levels. He expressed the confidence that voters would respond decisively in the upcoming elections.
Former RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav demanded strict legal action in the matter. “Anyone who disrespects a sacred word like ‘mother’ should be immediately sent to jail,” he said.
“We condemn whatever was said in Mahua and demand that the Bihar and Central governments take swift action in the matter. If no steps are taken, Jan Shakti Janata Dal will launch a protest in Mahua.”
Meanwhile, RJD spokesperson Chitranjan Gagan accused the BJP of being rattled by the massive support for Tejashwi Yadav’s ongoing ‘Bihar Adhikar Yatra’. He said the BJP is resorting to conspiracies and diversionary tactics because it cannot respond to the issues raised by Tejashwi.
Reiterating his challenge to the BJP, he said: “If the video clip is indeed from the time of Tejashwi Yadav’s speech, then where is Tejashwi’s voice, especially since he was speaking into a microphone and his voice was clearly audible to the crowd?”
