Azam Khan gets bail in Quality Bar case, likely to come out of jail

In a major relief to jailed Samajwadi Party leader Mohammad Azam Khan , the Allahabad High Court has granted him bail in the Rampur Quality Bar encroachment case.

Now there is a chance for the SP leader to come out of jail. Presently the leader is lodged in Sitapur jail.

A single bench of Justice Sameer Jain delivered the verdict here on Thursday. A case was filed against Azam Khan in connection with the encroachment of Rampur’s famed Quality Bar.

On August 21 last, the High Court had reserved its decision after all parties concluded their arguments. Senior advocates Imran Ullah and Mohammad Khalid argued on the bail application.

Earlier, Azam Khan’s bail plea was rejected by the Rampur MP-MLA Court on May 17, 2025.

On November 21, 2019, the then Revenue Inspector filed an FIR based on a complaint by Quality Bar owner Gagan Arora. Police named Zafar Ali Jafri, Azam Khan, his wife Tanzeen Fatima, and son Abdullah Azam as accused in the case. Later Azam Khan’s name was added in the FIR.

Azam Khan was accused of occupying the Quality Bar in the Saeed Nagar Hardoi Patti, located on the highway in the Civil Lines police station area of ​​Rampur.

With this bail in this case, former minister Azam Khan’s chances of being released from jail have increased. He has received relief in almost all the cases. It is likely that he may be released from jail soon.
