Mimi Chakraborty, a former Trinamool Congress MP, appeared before the ED on Monday about questioning in connection with an alleged money-laundering matter related to an online betting app, sources said.
Chakraborty reached the anti-money laundering agency’s office in New Delhi in morning at around 10:50 am, sources added.

The concerned case is linked to an allegedly “illegal” online betting app, to which she is said to have been connected earlier through some endorsements, while the probe agency will likely look into the arrangement that she might have had with the said application.
Meanwhile, the agency has also sent summonses to other known people, like actor Urvashi Rautela and Bengali cinema actor Ankush Hazra, who have been asked to appear before the agency on Tuesday.
Earlier, several known faces have also been quizzed by the agency in connection with the 1xBet app case, including former cricketers Suresh Raina and Shikhar Dhawan.
The summonses are part of a broader crackdown by the federal agency on the illegal online platforms and applications. Raina was questioned by the agency on August 13, while Dhawan was quizzed on September 4.
Previously, several other known faces have been under the agency’s scanner in connection with the betting cases linked to such online applications.
Earlier, some of those who have been quizzed by the ED said they have denied unlawful conduct. The agency is investigating several such cases involving illegal betting apps that have allegedly duped a large number of people worth crores of rupees, or have also evaded taxes.
