Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will visit Ayodhya on October 8, along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Sitharaman will inaugurate statues of prominent South Indian figures at Brihaspati Kund, located at the Teedi Bazaar intersection in Ayodhya.

Brihaspati Kund, built on Rampath, is being developed for devotees visiting Ayodhya, and police security begins from this pond.
Brihaspati Kund is adorned with statues of prominent South Indian figures and is expected to become a centre of attraction for devotees coming from South India.
A grand programme will be organised on the occasion of the inauguration, during which local people and visiting guests will be shown a glimpse of Ayodhya’s culture.
Ayodhya District Magistrate Nikhil T Funde has appealed to the local people to help keep Ayodhya clean and beautiful. He said there is a need to organise the Teedi Bazaar intersection, which is being beautified. The progress of ongoing work at Brihaspati Kund was reviewed, and instructions were issued to complete the minor construction work on time.
The DM said the event will be an important opportunity to showcase the development and cultural heritage of Ayodhya.
