A fresh political controversy has erupted after the Bihar Congress uploaded a video on social media allegedly targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother.
The video, reportedly created using artificial intelligence (AI), has drawn sharp criticism from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), with senior leaders calling it disrespectful and offensive.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has strongly condemned the video and accused the Gandhi family of habitually insulting the dignity of backward classes.
Taking to social media platform X, Maurya stated, “The Gandhi family always considers respect and prestige as its personal property. If a non-Congress prime minister from a backward class leads the nation, this family not only looks down upon him but also doesn’t hesitate to insult his mother, who is no longer in this world.”
“The Congress party is not just insulting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother, but is determined to dishonour all mothers and sisters from backward communities,” he added.
Maurya alleged that since Modi challenged the dynastic rule of the Gandhi family after 2014, the family has been “furious” and continues to target him relentlessly.
The AI-generated video, shared by the Bihar Congress, has sparked widespread outrage across social media. Many users have expressed strong disapproval of the content, calling it distasteful and disrespectful. While BJP leaders have condemned the video in harsh terms, the Congress party has not yet removed it from its social media platforms.
The BJP has also alleged that Rahul Gandhi is behind the video, alleging that the insult to Modi’s mother was carried out at his behest.
