1.5 lakh iron and steel workers in Bengal get Rs 1,450 wage hike before Durga Puja
Bengal Labour Minister Arjun Singh said the agreement would benefit around 1.5 lakh workers by increasing monthly wages by about Rs 2,000.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced the formation of committees for organizing Ramleela and Durga Puja with cabinet ministers Manjinder Singh Sirsa and Ravinder Indraj Singh as chairpersons of the panels.
The CM stated that the purpose of these committees is to ensure prompt resolution of potential challenges and difficulties related to these religious events.

Members of the panel related to Ramleela include MLAs Ashok Goyal, Anil Kumar Sharma, Shyam Sharma, Sanjay Goyal, and Sandeep Sahrawat. The Divisional Commissioner, Neeraj Semwal, will act as Member Secretary of the committee.

Rekha Gupta informed that Cabinet Minister Sirsa will chair the Durga Puja Committee, its members will be MLAs Neeraj Basoya, Ravindra Negi, Chandan Chaudhary, and Karnail Singh.
The DC, Semwal, will be serving as Member Secretary of this committee.
The CM said these committees would be in constant touch with the organisers of these religious festivities, give priority to their needs and suggestions, and take immediate decisions to provide them relief.
Formation of these panels is aimed at ensuring smooth festivities and making it convenient for the residents, so that they can cherish the events without any hassles.
After successfully organising the Kanwar yatra, the government wants the upcoming festivities to pass off smoothly.
