Literature and drama create true artists: Anupam Kher
The a Padma Bhushan awardee was speaking after inaugurating the Banaras Literature Festival-4 on Friday at Hotel Taj in Nadesar, by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
Raju Kher, like his elder brother Anupam, has had a steady career in films and television. He has appeared in movies such as ‘Ghulam’, ‘Jungle’, ‘Om Jai Jagadish’, and more.

For Anupam Kher, family has always been the biggest strength, and he proved it once again when he shared an emotional note for his younger brother Raju Kher on his birthday.
On Instagram, Anupam posted an old black-and-white photograph of the two brothers from their younger days. Along with it, he added the classic Mukesh song “Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo” from the 1966 film ‘Teesri Kasam’.

In his caption, Anupam described Raju not just as a brother, but as his strongest supporter. “Happy Birthday #RajuMereBhai! You are the bestest brother in the entire world! My Quiet Supporter! You are solid, very funny! A wonderful son, father and husband!” wrote Anupam.

The actor also teased his brother in a loving way, calling him “stubborn” and “sometimes irritating,” but still “selfless and my ROCK.”
Anupam explained why he chose that particular song, saying it would always remind them of their childhood bond. His message ended with warm wishes for Raju’s health, happiness and long life. “Rockstars are also those who may not be greatly famous. But totally dependable,” he added, before signing off with “Raju ji ki JAI!”
