An old building collapsed in southeast Delhi’s Badarpur area on Saturday afternoon with no casualties reported in the incident, officials said.
A PCR van, fire brigades, ambulances, and all other essentials were called to the spot, and the power supply was cut by the BSES, they said.

According to the Delhi Police, “We were alerted about the incident after a PCR call was received at Badarpur police station at around 1.35 pm regarding the collapse of a building near Badarpur Border Bypass.”
“Responding to the call, police teams arrived near Indira Nursery in Badarpur and found that an old, dilapidated building with four floors and a basement had collapsed,” a senior police officer said.
Adding to his statement, the safety precautions were taken, with no injuries or loss of life or property reported to date.
As part of the inquiry, the crime team was informed about the incident, after which they arrived at the spot, and necessary legal action is being taken.
One of the Delhi Fire Service officers said, “A call regarding the collapse came at 1.31 pm.” Adding to it, he said that initially, it looked like the building was empty.
“Immediately, three fire tenders were deployed to the spot; however, no casualty has been reported yet from the collapse,” the fire officer added.
