Railways urges passengers to stay alert, vigilant while travelling
Amid recent incidents targeting Railways, a crucial high-level security review meeting was held at Rail Bhawan in New Delhi.

In the second incident of emergency in five days in the New Delhi-Indore Air India Express flight, the aircraft on Friday made an emergency landing at the Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport of Indore after its left engine developed a technical snag.
According to Airport officials, all 161 passengers and the crew of the aircraft deboarded safely after the emergency landing.

On 31 August, when the same flight had reported an engine fire, the plane coming from New Delhi to Indore was turned back and landed at New Delhi.

In today’s incident, the pilot of flight number IX-1028 gave a ‘PAN-PAN’ emergency signal to the Air Traffic Control (ATC) at Indore airport. The signal means that there is a serious situation and immediate help is required from the ATC and ground staff.
According to Indore Airport Director Vipinkant Seth, after receiving information about a technical fault in one of the engines of the Air India Express plane coming from Delhi to Indore, all precautions were taken. As soon as the information was received from the air traffic control, teams of the fire brigade, ambulances, and CISF were deployed at the airport. He said the aircraft landed at Indore airport at 9.55 AM.
He said that the crew of the plane, and all 161 passengers on board are completely safe.
