The festive spirit of Onam is in full swing. Celebrities, general public, politicians, everyone joins in to share their greetings. One of the best wishes came from veteran actor Mohanlal. He kicked off the celebrations with a video message to fans worldwide.

In a clip posted on X (formerly Twitter), the ‘Drishyam’ star wished, “Wishing all Malayalis across the world a very Happy Onam.”

Mohanlal extends Onam wishes:

Onam, celebrated especially in Kerala, marks the homecoming of King Mahabali and the region’s harvest season.

Across Kerala, people began the day with prayers at temples, immersing themselves in devotion and tradition.

The festival is known for its colorful rituals, grand feasts, and vibrant flower arrangements called pookalams.

Actress Malavika Mohanan also joined the celebrations. She shared some stunning photos on her social media accounts. Her caption read, “Happy Onam to you and your families. May your time be filled with joy, delicious sadhya, and vibrant pookalam.”

Fans flooded her post with festive wishes, echoing the excitement across the state.

In addition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted a message on X, highlighting the cultural significance of the festival. He wrote, “Wishing everyone a very happy Onam! This year, Onam festivities began on August 26. They culminate today with Thiruvonam, as it is the most important day of the celebration.
