In line with its commitment to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace, the Khurda Road Division of the East Coast Railway organised an Awareness and Sensitisation Programme on the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, at Cuttack Railway Station.

The programme also included a special session on grievance redressal related to the Unique Medical Identity Card (UMID) and Human Resource Management System (HRMS).

The session was graced by Swadhinta Das, Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer (Environment & Housekeeping Management) & Chairman, Internal Complaint Committee (ICC), and Tapaswini Mahanandia, Assistant Personnel Officer, Executive Member of ICC, and She-BOX Nodal Officer, Khurda Road Division. Both the dignitaries highlighted the significance of building a harassment-free workplace, elaborating on the provisions of the POSH Act, 2013, which include the formation and role of Internal Complaint Committees (ICCs).

The programme also addressed employees’ queries regarding UMID cards and HRMS facilities, ensuring greater awareness about employee-centric grievance redressal mechanisms.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from frontline staff and employees at Cuttack, reaffirming the division’s collective commitment to safeguarding dignity, gender sensitivity, and workplace equality.
