Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated the Bihar State Jeevika Nidhi Credit Cooperative Federation Limited through video conferencing.

He dedicated the facility to the mothers and sisters of Bihar, saying the Jeevika Nidhi Credit Cooperative Federation will give financial help to women in the villages.

“This will greatly help them in advancing the work or business they do,” Modi said.
Prime Minister Modi stated that empowered women are the foundation of a developed India.
“It is very necessary to empower women that every kind of difficulty in their lives be reduced. Therefore, we are doing many works to make the lives of mothers-sisters-daughters easier,” Modi noted.
He further highlighted the women-centric schemes of his government.
“We built crores of toilets for women, so that they could be freed from the compulsion of open defecation. Under the PM Awas Yojana, we built pucca houses and also ensured that, if possible, those houses be in the name of women,” he said.
Modi further stated that while the free ration scheme has freed every mother from the worry of how to fill the stomachs of the children in the house, the Lakhpati Didi, Drone Didi and Bank Sakhis have ensured women’s income is increased.
“All these schemes are a grand yajna of service to mothers and sisters” he said.
Modi also assured that Bihar’s NDA government will further accelerate this campaign in the coming months.
