Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Devender Yadav on Monday accused Chief Minister Rekha Gupta of posing for photo ops while failing to act as the Yamuna crossed the danger mark and flooded nearby roads nearly 10 days ago.
He further alleged that the Delhi government under Chief Minister Rekha Gupta had pushed the capital into a crisis similar to the one it faced two years ago, when the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was in power. In July 2023, several parts of Delhi’s floodplains were inundated as the Yamuna touched an all-time high of 208.66 metres, breaching embankments and displacing thousands of residents.

Yadav said that since August 31, the Yamuna has been flowing above the danger mark amid heavy rainfall in the city.
