An alert has been sounded in 15 districts in Uttar Pradesh by the Meteorological Department for heavy rains for the next two days. According to the Meteorological Department, Uttar Pradesh will receive more than normal rainfall in September.

A heavy rain warning has been issued in many districts of Uttar Pradesh. The India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in 15 districts.

Heavy rain is expected till September 2 due to the western disturbances. There is a possibility of more than normal rainfall in many districts, including Lucknow, which has experienced heavy rains since late Sunday night.

Senior Meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh said that due to the activation of a western disturbance, the monsoon line has shifted towards the north. Due to this, there will be heavy and extremely heavy rain at some places till September 2.

Heavy rain is expected in Lakhimpur Kheri, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Badaun, and surrounding areas.

Apart from this, rain is also expected in Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Bhadohi, Bahraich, Sitapur, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Unnao, Lucknow, Barabanki, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahar, Aligarh, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Mainpuri, and surrounding areas.
