RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, who is undertaking a ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ with Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and other Mahagathbandhan leaders, said on Saturday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Election Commission of India are trying to end the democracy but people of Bihar will protect their votes and give a befitting reply to them.
“The people of Bihar are aware and Bihar is the mother of democracy and Modi ji is trying to end democracy here in connivance with the Election Commission, which will never happen. All Biharis will protect their votes and give a befitting reply to the BJP,” Yadav told reporters in Patna.

Calling his ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ “historic”, Yadav said that the message they wanted to deliver through the yatra has spread across the country.
“This has been a very historic yatra, it received the support of millions of people… The people of Bihar are aware and Biharis will protect their vote. Today, Akhilesh Yadav also joined the yatra. His presence has given us strength. Every child in the country is saying, ‘Vote chor, gaddi chhodd,’ and this message has spread across the entire country…,” he said.
Claiming that the BJP want to implement his vision, the RJD leader said Bihar want a real CM and not a duplicate one.
“BJP people are scared, so they want to implement Tejashwi’s vision, but there is still a lot left that we will reveal after the notification comes, about what all we will implement in Bihar… Everyone in Bihar is saying that we want a real CM, not a duplicate CM,” he added.
