The National Sports Day was observed at the Directorate of Enforcement headquarters on Friday, and on the occasion, the agency’s Director, Rahul Navin, emphasized the importance of physical activities like Yoga, sports, and exercises in daily life.

On the very same day, August 29, in the year 2019, the ‘Fit India’ movement was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with the National Sports Day celebrated every year to mark the birth anniversary of the ‘Hockey Wizard’ Major Dhyan Chand.

Several programmes were organised as part of the sports day at the anti-money laundering agency’s headquarters on Friday, where the ED officials took the pledge to make themselves physically fit, mentally strong and emotionally balanced.

ED Director stated that such activities not only improve physical and mental health, but also help in developing a positive outlook towards work.

He motivated all the officers and officials of the Directorate to imbibe these physical activities in their daily routine, and further suggested that teams should be formed within the agency to participate in various sports.

Navin remarked that such initiatives would encourage camaraderie, enthusiasm, and efficiency among the employees, which would help enhance efficiency.

All the officials present on the occasion reaffirmed their commitment to fitness, discipline, and team spirit. Yoga session, and a tug-of-war competition were the events held at the ED office, witnessing participation from the officials.
