New zombie film in town: Kartik Aaryan seems to be running on full steam. The actor, who has become one of Bollywood’s most reliable stars in recent years, is carefully building a line-up that mixes romance, drama, thrill, and now, something unexpected, zombies.
Fresh from wrapping up ‘Tu Meri Main Tera’ with director Sameer Vidhwans and also Anurag Basu’s untitled love story, Kartik is not taking any breaks. He is preparing to step into the quirky world of ‘Nagzilla’, a creature comedy being helmed by ‘Fukrey’ director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba.

After that, he has ‘Captain India’ in the filmline, a film by ‘Chak De India’ fame Shimit Amin, which is ready to go on floors in March 2026.

But the most interesting update is what comes next. According to a Pinkvilla report, Kartik is in advanced talks with filmmaker Vishnuvardhan, best known for ‘Shershaah’, for a film that dives into the world of zombies.
Yes, you read that right. Zombies!
A source revealed to the portal that Kartik had been wanting to do a zombie-based film for some time now, and Vishnuvardhan’s script finally gave him what he was looking for.
“The filmmaker has created a unique zombie universe, and Kartik instantly connected with it. He has given a nod to the project, and if all goes well, the film is expected to begin in July 2026,” the source told them.

As far as his immediate work calendar goes, Kartik is going to complete Anurag Basu’s film by November 2025. He will then move into ‘Nagzilla’ and later ‘Captain India’. On top of these, he is also reading scripts for at least two other projects, though there is no official announcement yet.
