SP demands probe into the charges made by Puja Pal against party leadership

Demanding a high-level probe into the allegations made by expelled MLA Puja Pal, the Samajwadi Party on Sunday said, “Mrs. Pooja Pal is being used as a pawn by the BJP to spread negative propaganda against the SP.”

In a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, SP state president Shyam Lal Pal recently said, many statements of Chail MLA from Kaushambi district, Puja Pal, have appeared on social media and in the press. “All these statements are beyond truth and are indecent. These statements are inspired by the BJP and are part of a conspiracy against the Samajwadi Party,” he added.

He further wrote that he was made an MLA by the Samajwadi Party and when she was in trouble in her personal life, the Samajwadi Party and its national president Akhilesh Yadav stood by her and helped her in every possible way. “But suddenly, Mrs. Pal, who was previously completely safe in the Samajwadi Party, started worrying about her life and property after coming in contact with the BJP. Actually, as she herself has admitted in one of her statements, she has started having problems with the PDA associated with backward, Dalit, and Muslim communities. This is not her problem, but the BJP is seeing its defeat in 2027 due to the PDA movement. Hence, in keeping with its conspiratorial nature, Puja Pal is being used as a pawn to spread negative propaganda against the Samajwadi Party,” the letter charged.

The UP SP president said, “The truth is that Puja Pal’s conduct falls under the category of indiscipline. After meeting the chief minister, her statement came that her life is in danger from the Samajwadi Party and if anything happens to her, the Samajwadi Party will be responsible for it. Ms Puja Pal should clarify who is threatening her life. Whereas the government is responsible for the safety of life. In such a situation, it is necessary to investigate the baseless and unwarranted allegation of Ms Puja Pal,” he said.

Mr Pal said the Samajwadi Party demands that this allegation should be investigated and the truth should be brought out.
