Nishant Kumar, Pawan Singh among NDA nominees for Bihar Legislative Council polls
The BJP and JD(U) have each announced four candidates for the polls.

Accusing the BJP of robbing people of their votes by misusing power, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav exhorted the public to be vigilant while casting, saving, and counting of votes to ensure the survival of democracy.

“When Samajwadi Party raised its voice against these irregularities in 2022, the Election Commission of India (ECI) sent a notice. The Samajwadi Party sent a list of 18,000 voters deleted from the voter list to the ECI along with an affidavit. But the poll panel did not take any action. When the issue of theft and deletion of votes was raised, the chief election commission said no affidavit was found whereas the party has the receipt of every affidavit,” he claimed.

The SP president said now that the truth of the BJP has come out in the open, people are determined to remove the saffron party from power.
The prominent leaders present on this occasion included Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Mata Prasad Pandey, MP Lalji Verma, former Cabinet Minister Rajendra Chaudhary, State President Shyam Lal Pal among others.
