Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday led a high-level delegation to Japan and South Korea on the invitation of the Indian Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), Government of India. The visit aims to showcase Chhattisgarh’s heritage, innovation, and emerging sectors at the prestigious World Expo 2025 in Osaka, while also strengthening the state’s global investment outreach.

The delegation will participate in the World Expo in Osaka on August 25–26, where Chhattisgarh has established a dedicated pavilion within the Bharat Pavilion. The state’s exhibit highlights its cultural richness, industrial growth, and future-ready sectors, particularly renewable energy, information technology, and sustainable development models. Officials said the participation positions Chhattisgarh prominently within India’s global representation.

Strategic Engagements in Japan and Korea
Ahead of the Expo, the Chief Minister will be in Tokyo (August 22–24) for investor connect sessions and high-level meetings with Japanese industry leaders, trade associations, and investors. The visit will conclude in Seoul (August 27–29) with investor roundtables, sector-focused discussions, and engagements with top Korean companies to explore avenues of collaboration.

Expanding the State’s Global Footprint
Sai emphasized that the Expo provides a unique platform to strengthen partnerships and attract investments. “Participation in one of the world’s largest platforms for innovation and collaboration will open new avenues for Chhattisgarh’s economic growth and global recognition,” he said before departing.

Shiv Narayan Pandey, Chhattisgarh BJP leader and spokesperson, noted that beyond the Expo, the Chief Minister’s interactions with Japanese and Korean stakeholders are expected to foster collaborations, boost industrial relations, and deepen knowledge exchange.

By attending the World Expo 2025 through ITPO’s facilitation, Chhattisgarh seeks not only to showcase its strengths on the world stage but also to underline its commitment to becoming an active participant in India’s international trade and investment outreach.
