Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has called on Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani here on Thursday. He drove to the Speaker’s official residence at the Civil Lines here to a warm welcome from the latter. The two leaders exchanged greetings and bouquets with each other.
The CMO as well as the Assembly Secretariat have described the visit as a courtesy call ahead of the monsoon session of the assembly beginning from September 1.

The legislative business being planned for the consideration of the House, the development projects of the state government and related issues figured in the discussion that lasted for one hour and 10 minutes.
The Speaker presented Sharma a book — “Bharat Ke Chakraborty Samrat” and also shared with him his experiences in his recent visit to Ayodhya.
The assembly session that is scheduled to be convened on September 1 is likely to last for more than 10 sittings.
Earlier this year, the budget session of the assembly was held between January 31 and March 24. 12 Bills were introduced or passed during the session that lasted for 24 sittings, 3 bills were referred to the select committee.
