Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday slammed the Opposition for allegedly intimidating judges for giving fair verdict and leveling allegations against Constitutional institutions like Election Commission of India (ECI().
“These are the same people who conspire to make Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators voters so that the citizens of India are deprived of their rights,” he charged the Opposition.

CM Yogi was attending the Hindu Gaurav Diwas program organized here on the fourth death anniversary of former CM late Kalyan Singh. Speaking on the occasion, he stressed that the double-engine government of the BJP stands firm against such forces. Today, following the ideals of late Kalyan Singh, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the policy of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabki Suraksha is in place and the country is moving forward on the path of development at a fast pace.
Addressing the people after paying tributes to the former chief minister, he said ‘Babuji’s (Kalyan Singh’s) entire life was dedicated to Indian culture, nationalism and service to the people. His legacy has become the foundation stone of UP’s development today.
Further attacking the Opposition, the CM said the people who are dividing the society in the name of “PDA” (Pariwar Development Authority) today, were the same people who used to incite riots and ban Hindu festivals. “Those people used to ban Kanwar Yatra, obstruct Durga Puja, and Dussehra celebrations. When riots used to happen and violence erupted in Aligarh, Bareilly, Muzaffarnagar, and Meerut, these people did not speak in favour of the oppressed Hindus, Dalits, and backwards. Only the BJP stood up for them,” he claimed.
Yogi said Congress had undemocratically dismissed Kalyan Singh’s government in 1992. In that difficult time, he sacrificed his post for the Ram Janmabhoomi movement without delay. When the disputed structure fell, Kalyan Singh ji took the responsibility on his shoulders. He said no Ram devotee should be harmed. He showed courage and paved the way for the construction of a grand temple at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi.
The chief minister said the environment of development, good governance and security that has been created in Uttar Pradesh today, its foundation stone was laid by Babuji during his tenure in 1990 and 1996. Today, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the double engine government is adopting the same ideals and taking the state to new heights. This is a true tribute to Babuji. He said that many institutions of the state have been named in the memory of Babuji. Bulandshahr Medical College, Super Specialty Cancer Hospital of Lucknow and his grand statue installed in the capital are examples of this.
The chief minister said before 2017, riots, hooliganism, and mafia rule were prevalent in the state. But in the last eight and a half years, UP has become riot-free and free from mafias. Today, thousands of youth from Aligarh to Kasganj and Etah have got a place in the police force under a transparent recruitment process. Earlier this was not possible due to corruption and anarchy.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Babuji’s memories also inspire Aligarh’s ‘lock city’. The local industries and entrepreneurship here are becoming the basis for realizing the resolve of self-reliant India. He said that if we adopt Babuji’s teachings and ideals in life, then not only Uttar Pradesh but the whole of India will touch new heights.
CM Yogi said that the ideals and legacy of Kalyan Singh ji are an inspiration for the entire society. His life gives us the message of nationalism, public service and dedication. Today on Hindu Pride Day, we all pledge that we will follow the path of Babuji and make Uttar Pradesh the leading state in India’s economy.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, along with UP Deputy CMs Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, were present in the function.
