Released on August 15 last year, the film became a huge box office success and added another hit to Maddock Films’ growing horror-comedy universe.

Along with the post, the actor dropped a video featuring some of his most iconic moments from the movie, which took audiences back to the spooky yet hilarious world of Chanderi.

Not stopping there, Rao also teased his fans with a playful hint about the franchise’s future. “Bahut jaldi milenge ‘Stree 3’ ke sath. Bickyyyyy Pleajjjjjj,” he wrote.

‘Stree 2’ once again brought audiences face-to-face with the town’s supernatural troubles. This time, the villain was the terrifying headless figure, “Sarkata.”

To fight back, Rao’s character Vicky teamed up with his old gang: Bittu (Aparshakti Khurana), Jana (Abhishek Banerjee), Rudra (Pankaj Tripathi), and the ever-enigmatic Shraddha Kapoor.

As fans relived the ‘Stree 2’ fever, Maddock Films added to the excitement with a big Independence Day announcement. The makers revealed that the next film in their horror-comedy universe, ‘Thama’, will be unveiled soon. The first look is set to drop on August 19.
