Independence Day 2025: Akshay Kumar recently had a heartwarming moment while enjoying a casual game of volleyball by the beach. In the middle of his game, the Bollywood actor came across a group of volunteers who were busy cleaning up the shoreline.
Touched by their dedication, he took to Instagram to appreciate their work, calling them “everyday heroes.”

Sharing a smiling group picture, Akshay wrote, “Freedom feels brighter when we care for the ground beneath our feet. Was enjoying beachside volleyball when I met these real-life heroes keeping our beaches clean… all smiles, all heart. #IndependenceDay #EverydayHeroes.”

On the work front, Akshay is currently basking in the success of his latest release ‘Housefull 5’. The film boasts a massive star cast including Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chitrangada Singh, Fardeen Khan, Chunky Pandey, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Ranjeet, Soundarya Sharma, Nikitin Dheer, and Akashdeep Sabir.
The comedy revolves around a chaotic plot where multiple imposters pretend to be the son of a recently deceased billionaire. All of them board a luxury cruise ship, each hoping to inherit the fortune, leading to a series of over-the-top comic situations.
But that’s not all for Akshay’s busy schedule. He is ready to return in ‘Jolly LLB 3’, the next chapter in the hit black comedy legal drama series. Directed by Subhash Kapoor, the film will see Akshay alongside Arshad Warsi and Saurabh Shukla, with Amrita Rao, Huma Qureshi, and Annu Kapoor also reprising their roles from previous installments. The courtroom comedy-drama is going to release on 19 September 2025.
Following that, Akshay will reunite with filmmaker Priyadarshan and actor Paresh Rawal for ‘Bhoot Bangla’, a project that promises a mix of comedy and spooks. The cast also includes Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, Mithila Palkar, and Wamiqa Gabbi. Produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor under Balaji Telefilms along with Akshay’s Cape of Good Films, the movie has a story by Akash A Kaushik and dialogues by Rohan Shankar. It is ready for a theatrical release on 2 April 2026.
