Shreya Ghoshal releases ‘O Kanha Re’:
Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, Shreya shared, “I’ve been working on a variety of projects, including film music, non-film songs, and independent music. But I felt the need to create something spiritual and reconnect with my roots. There are many songs for various gods, but I felt it was time to offer something dedicated to Radha and Krishna for Janmashtami.”
For Shreya, this song holds a special place, as it represents not only her spiritual journey but also her personal connection with her own child. She describes Krishna as both a divine figure and a profound philosopher, with Radha beautifully embodying his love and teachings. To her, Krishna symbolizes love so pure that it transforms into devotion, a concept that she finds deeply soothing and inspiring.
“I created this song as a gift, a Pushpaanjali, offering my music and voice as a tribute,” Shreya explained. “Krishna is not just a god; he is the essence of love, and through this song, I wanted to share that timeless message. Every time I sing, I feel energized and deeply moved by the love and devotion that Krishna represents.”
Shreya further expressed her gratitude towards her fans for their unwavering support, especially for her devotional songs.
“Your love and support mean the world to me. For this Janmashtami, I want to encourage everyone to celebrate the eternal love of Radha and Krishna. Let’s dance, sing, and fill the world with joy and creativity,” she added.
The song ‘O Kanha Re’ is rooted in traditional folk music but also carries a modern charm. The audio is now available for streaming on all major music platforms.
