A day after the Kerala Students Union (KSU), the student wing of the Congress, filed a police complaint against Union Minister and Thrissur MP Suresh Gopi alleging that he has been “missing” from his constituency, the BJP, in a tit-for-tat political move, has lodged a “missing person” complaint against Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

BJP Scheduled Caste Morcha state president Mukundan Palliyara filed the complaint with the Wayanad District Police Chief, claiming that the MP has been missing for three months. He alleged that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has not visited Chooralmala, which recently suffered one of Kerala’s worst disasters, claiming hundreds of lives and causing damage worth crores.

“Despite Wayanad having one of the highest tribal populations in the state, the MP has been absent from the constituency and has not addressed pressing tribal issues,” the complaint stated.

This development follows the complaint lodged by KSU Thrissur district president Gokul Guruvayur with the Thrissur East police against Union Minister Suresh Gopi, alleging that he has been missing from his constituency since the arrest of two Malayali nuns in Chhattisgarh. Gokul urged the police to investigate not only the minister’s current whereabouts but also to find out “who is behind his disappearance.”
