Two-wheeler used in murder of Suvendu aide traced to Burnpur address
Police have seized the two-wheeler allegedly used by the assailants in the murder of Chandranath Rath, personal assistant to Suvendu Adhikari.
A man who allegedly hired two individuals, including a minor, to fire at his own office in order to frame a creditor and avoid repaying a loan, has been arrested, police said on Monday.

A man who allegedly hired two individuals, including a minor, to fire at his own office in order to frame a creditor and avoid repaying a loan, has been arrested, police said on Monday.
The minor involved in the incident, who actually carried out the firing, has been detained.

The incident occurred on Saturday around 2:30 pm in Maujpur area, under the jurisdiction of Jafrabad police station in the national capital.

According to police, Anish had initially complained that his office was attacked by a man from whom he had borrowed money.
However, during questioning, one of the accused, identified as Mursleen, revealed that Anish had hired him and the minor to stage the shooting so that he could falsely implicate his creditor and evade repayment.
Mursleen further told police that Anish had provided them with his own pistol and cartridges for the act.
A case has been registered under Section 324(6) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 25/27 of the Arms Act at the local police station. Further investigation is underway, police said.
