Kapil Sharma’s dream venture in Canada has once again been hit by violence. His coffee shop, ‘Kap’s Cafe’, located in Surrey, faced a second round of gunfire in less than a month.
The incident took place early Thursday morning at the cafe, which sits at 85 Avenue and Scott Road. According to Vancouver City News, the Surrey Police Service received a call at around 4:40 am after multiple gunshots rang out. Staff members were inside at the time, and no one was hurt. Police are still investigating and have not confirmed why the cafe was targeted.

Kapil Sharma and his team have not made an official comment yet. But just hours after the attack, a post began circulating online, allegedly from gangster Goldy Dhillon, claiming responsibility for the shooting. The post also threatened that their “next action” would happen in Mumbai.
Though the claim has not been independently verified, it has sparked fear among fans. Goldy Dhillon is reportedly linked to Lawrence Bishnoi’s criminal network.
This is not the first time the cafe has been under fire, literally. Just a few weeks ago, in mid-July, unknown shooters fired at least nine bullets at the outlet, barely days after it had opened. The cafe had to remain shut for ten days before reopening.
When it finally welcomed customers again, the team posted a heartfelt message: “We opened Kap’s Cafe with hopes of bringing warmth, community, and joy through delicious coffee and friendly conversation. To have violence intersect with that dream is heartbreaking. We are not giving up. We will stand firm against violence to keep this place a symbol of warmth and community.”
Kapil had reshared the reopening post, writing, “Proud of you team @thekapscafe ❤️.”
Interestingly, just before this latest incident, the cafe had shared a reel of Surrey’s mayor, Brenda Locke, and Surrey Police Service officials visiting the premises to show support. “United we stand against violence,” the caption read.
