SS Rajamouli praises Mohammed Siraj: Team India pulled off a stunning comeback at The Oval, and leading the charge was none other than pacer Mohammed Siraj. His fiery performance on the final day of the fifth Test against England not only turned the game on its head but also earned him special praise from top filmmaker and fellow Hyderabadi, SS Rajamouli.
Rajamouli, known for directing blockbusters like ‘RRR’ and ‘Baahubali’, took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to express his excitement.

He wrote, “SIRAJ MIYAA… What a spell!!! Prasidh’s double blow!!! India fights back at The Oval!!! Test cricket… nothing comes close. Team India.”
SS Rajamouli on Siraj:
Siraj’s bowling was nothing short of magic. Team India had their backs against the wall, with England just 35 runs away from chasing down a massive 374-run target and winning the series 3-1. They had six wickets in hand. But Siraj, along with fellow pacer Prasidh Krishna, had other plans.
With star bowler Jasprit Bumrah missing the final two Tests, Siraj stepped up as the senior bowler. He took on the pressure and delivered in style. His deliveries were sharp, his energy was high, and he never let the batters settle.
England, who were cruising at 317 for 4, suddenly lost their grip and were all out for 367, handing India a thrilling six-run win.
Siraj bowled long spells without losing focus. When the team needed a breakthrough, he provided it. His determination kept India in the game and eventually led them to level the five-match Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series 2-2.
For England, the collapse was heartbreaking. Harry Brook and the others had looked comfortable at one stage. But once Siraj found his rhythm, it was all downhill for the hosts.
