The Delhi Government has constituted a high-level committee to formulate a transparent and socially secure excise policy, to be headed by Cabinet Minister Parvesh Verma.
The development was shared by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on the social media platform X on Monday.

According to officials, Cabinet Ministers will serve as members of the committee.

Additionally, a special committee has been formed under the leadership of Cabinet Minister Ashish Sood to draft an effective and people-centric Electric Vehicle (EV) policy for the national capital. This panel will also comprise Cabinet Ministers as members.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that the Delhi Government is committed to serving the people of the national capital and is consistently making decisions in the public interest.
The move aims to ensure that the welfare of the city’s residents remains the government’s top priority.
The government has been taking various measures to reduce air pollution in the capital, and the formulation of a robust EV policy is considered a key step in that direction.
