BJP state president Dr Rajeev Bindal announced that the party has completed the formation of its 17 organizational district executive committees and will soon declare the new state-level team.

Addressing media persons here on Monday, he said the BJP is a party of workers and that its journey from the Jan Sangh to the present day has been both inspiring and progressive.

By nurturing workers from the general public, the BJP has built its organization with innovation and strength, he added.

Attacking the Congress, Bindal said the party, which once had 500 Members of Parliament, has been reduced to a very small number. In contrast, the BJP has grown from just two MPs to becoming the largest party in the country and the world.

Recalling that before 1947 the Congress was formed for the freedom movement, he said that after independence, Mahatma Gandhi did not endorse the party’s continuation solely for holding power.

He remarked that the appointment of Jawaharlal Nehru as Prime Minister changed the face and character of the Congress party.

He questioned whether the Congress has any objection to the Indian Tricolour, urging the party to state its position openly. He emphasized that for the BJP, the national flag is a matter of pride, honour, and dignity.

Bindal announced that from August 13 to 15, the BJP will run the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign across the state and pay tribute to the brave warriors.

“On August 15, grand Tiranga Yatras will be organised in all 171 mandals of the party in Himachal Pradesh,” he added.

Sharing details of the party’s organizational structure, Bindal said that across the 17 organizational districts, a total of 874 members and office bearers have been appointed, including 358 women and 258 members from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and OBC categories.

“At the mandal level, the number of mandals has increased from 74 to 171, with a total of 7,587 members, including 2,569 women and 3,532 members from SC, ST, and OBC categories. At the booth level, 11-member committees have been formed in 7,870 out of 8,007 booths, with 89,646 active workers,” he informed.

Bindal asserted that the BJP organization in Himachal is strong and unbreakable, and fully prepared for the upcoming Assembly elections.

He expressed confidence that this youthful and energetic organization is moving towards victory and will continue to live up to the trust of the people.
