Four Army personnel, including two officers, were injured on Wednesday when a large boulder fell on the vehicles of a military convoy in Ladakh, reports said.

Condition of two of the injured was serious.

The vehicle that was leading the convoy was badly damaged due to impact of the falling boulder. The injured personnel were rescued from the damaged vehicle by soldiers who were part of the convoy, reports said.

Four personnel, including a Lt Colonel, were travelling in the vehicle when the mishap occurred near Leh.

The Ladakh-based Fire and Fury Corps of the Indian Army said, “A boulder from a cliff fell on one of the vehicles of a military convoy in Ladakh, around 1130h on 30 Jul 2025. Recovery action is in progress.”

The convoy was on the move from Durbuk to Chongtas. The Army personnel belonged to the 60 Armoured regiment, Reports said.
