Diljit Dosanjh has finished filming for his upcoming war drama ‘Border 2’, and the final day on set turned out to be a heartfelt one.
The popular singer and actor took to Instagram to share moments from the last day of the shoot, giving fans a sneak peek into the emotional farewell he received from his team.

“BORDER 2 Shoot Finish,” Diljit Dosanjh wrote in his Instagram caption. “Got to play the role of Shaheed Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon Ji in the movie.”
He will be playing the Indian Air Force hero who received the Param Vir Chakra posthumously for his bravery during the 1971 war.
Diljit also took a moment to thank the local villagers and children who had been part of the shooting experience. He met them personally and offered sweets as a gesture of gratitude, creating more sweet memories off-camera.
Co-actors Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty didn’t hold back their emotions either. They both posted videos from Diljit’s farewell, writing kind messages about their time spent with him.
Varun, in a mix of Hindi and Punjabi, shared, “Diljit paaji ka shoot khatam hua, ladoo vi batt gaye… dosti da taste hi kuch aur hunda hai! Thank you paaji, will miss you and the team.”
For Ahan Shetty, this was the first time working with Diljit. But he said it didn’t feel like that at all. “Bahut bahut dhanwaad, Diljit Paaji. First time milna, par lagda hi nahi si,” Ahan wrote. “Tuhadi warmth, humility, te energy ne set di vibe hi change kar ditti. Dil ton dua karde haan. Rab tuhanu hamesha khush rakhe, te Chardi Kala vich rakhe.”
Directed by Anurag Singh, ‘Border 2’ is a sequel to the 1997 blockbuster ‘Border’. Apart from Diljit, Varun, and Ahan, veteran actor Sunny Deol also stars in the movie.
The film is going to hit the big screens on January 23, 2026.
