UP Minister Dara Singh Chauhan showcases political strength on birthday

A major political show of strength was witnessed in the state capital on Friday during the birthday celebration of Uttar Pradesh Prisons Minister Dara Singh Chauhan.

Although the event was officially marked as “Sankalp Diwas,” it turned into a large-scale political gathering, with several top BJP leaders in attendance.

While Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was not present at the event, he extended his birthday wishes to the minister.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, along with BJP State President Bhupendra Chaudhary, participated in the programme organized at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in the state capital.

Several other state ministers and senior BJP leaders, along with thousands of the minister’s supporters, were present on the occasion.

BJP leaders claimed that Minister Dara Singh Chauhan had mobilized his full political strength to make the event a grand success under the banner of Sankalp Diwas.

Speaking to the media on his birthday, Dara Singh Chauhan said, “Today, my birthday was celebrated as Sankalp Diwas. I am grateful to the entire Chauhan community for this. On this occasion, the community resolved to ensure the formation of a BJP government in the 2027 Assembly elections and the 2029 Lok Sabha elections.”

Supporters of Dara Singh Chauhan from across Purvanchal including Azamgarh, Ghazipur, Mau, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Kushinagar, Basti, Ballia, and many other districts gathered in Lucknow to celebrate the occasion.

After attending the event, Uttar Pradesh minister Dinesh Pratap Singh wrote on social media, “Attended the programme organized by the Chauhan Samaj as Sankalp Diwas on the auspicious occasion of the birthday of Dara Singh Chauhan ji, Prisons Minister in the Uttar Pradesh government. On this occasion, I extended my heartfelt birthday wishes to the minister.”
