In a post shared by his party on handle X, Ramesh pointed out that something serious must have happened between 1 PM and 4:30 PM on Monday, July 21, leading to Dhankhar’s resignation.
Giving details of the sequence of events that preceded Dhankhar’s resignation, Ramesh recalled that at 4:30 PM, the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) reconvened under Jagdeep Dhankhar’s chairmanship. He said the committee waited for ministers JP Nadda and Kiren Rijiju to arrive, but they didn’t attend. Dhankhar wasn’t personally informed about their absence. He rescheduled the next BAC meeting for today at 1 PM due to this unexpected absence.
Ramesh said that something serious apparently had occurred between 1 PM and 4:30 PM to cause Nadda and Rijiju’s deliberate absence.
“Now in a truly unprecedented move, Shri Jagdeep Dhankar has resigned. He has given health reasons for doing so. Those should be respected. But it is also a fact that there are far deeper reasons for his resignation,” Ramesh claimed, describing Dhankhar’s resignation as a significant development with potential implications.
