While the preliminary investigation was underway, it came out that Rahul used to procure the narcotic substance from UP’s Bareilly and supply it to contacts in Delhi.

According to police, he was working as a courier person who blended in with the regular commuters at busy transit hubs, such as Anand Vihar, to avoid detection.

The officer said the accused studied up to class 12 and worked as a vegetable vendor. He turned to drug trafficking to earn easy money.

He further added in his statement that efforts are ongoing by the officers to identify the backwards and forward links of the supply chain, including in Bareilly and Delhi.
