After the inaugural ceremony, the minister was given a live demonstration of the device, showcasing its ability to streamline routine dental checkups. Despite the launch of the new screening tool for oral examinations, patients can still opt for the traditional manual checkups.

According to an official document, the newly-launched device is equipped with smart sensors to deliver dental reports in under 10 seconds. To enable user-friendliness, multilingual voice assistance in 16 regional languages are also available that can provide treatment explainer videos to aid understanding, and sync appointment bookings with individual schedules.

The department also showcased ergonomic design, including a split structure for easy mobility, wheels for transport, and an adjustable vertical camera for seamless scanning across all age groups, making it truly inclusive and accessible.

As one of the most trusted government-run institutions in the country, MAIDS has consistently set benchmarks in clinical excellence, academic rigor, and community outreach. The introduction of ScanOair is yet another step towards MAIDS’ mission to blend cutting-edge technology with patient-centric care, stated the official statement.
