The deceased girl, Akansha Chaturvedi, belonged to Magania village in MP's Mauganj district.

Madhya Pradesh cadre 1993 batch IPS Officer Sonali Mishra has created history, as she has been named the first-ever woman Director General (DG) of the Railway Protection Force (RPF).
As per information, she would take over the responsibility after the present DG Manoj Yadav retires on 31 July.

The Union Personnel Ministry issued the order, stating that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved Sonali Mishra’s appointment as DG, RPF, until her superannuation on October 31, 2026.

Sonali Mishra is currently posted as the Additional Director General (ADG) – Selection, in the MP Police at Bhopal, which is also her hometown.
Earlier, too, she was on deputation with the Border Security Force (BSF). She became the first woman IG of BSF too.
Mishra is a recipient of the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service and the Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
