Fans eager to watch Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor light up the screen together will have to wait just a bit longer. The much-anticipated romantic drama ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’, directed by Shashank Khaitan, has officially shifted its release date.
Originally slated for a September 2025 release, the film will now hit theatres on October 2, 2025, just in time for the festive season.

The announcement came straight from Dharma Productions, which dropped a fresh new poster featuring Varun Dhawan to break the news.
The poster shows Varun flashing his signature boy-next-door smile while doing a classic ‘namaste’ pose. Alongside the poster, the makers shared a quirky line of dialogue from the film: “Yeh aansoon hain mere, samundar ka jal nahin… Baarish ka kya bharosa, aaj hai…kal nahi!”
Joining Varun and Janhvi in this multi-starrer are Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Maniesh Paul, and Akshay Oberoi. ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ has the backing of a powerhouse production team; Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and director Shashank Khaitan himself.
While promoting his “sanskari” avatar for this film, Varun Dhawan is also flexing his action chops elsewhere. He is currently shooting for ‘Border 2’, a war drama.
Directed by Anurag Singh, ‘Border 2’ is shaping up to be a grand spectacle. The film sees Sunny Deol return to his iconic role from the original 1997 hit. The star cast also features Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty.
