Amid a growing storm of criticism over ‘Sardaar Ji 3’ and its lead star Diljit Dosanjh’s decision to work alongside Pakistani actress Hania Amir, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn has weighed in with a message of calm: talk it out.
Speaking at the trailer launch of ‘Son of Sardaar 2’ on Friday, Ajay Devgn took a measured stance on the controversy, which has been brewing ever since Diljit Dosanjh unveiled the trailer of his latest Punjabi movie.

The film premiered overseas on June 27 but has not been released in India.
“I don’t know where the trolling comes from, what is right and what is wrong. I’m not in his shoes to comment on that. He would’ve had his problems, and people are thinking from their point of view,” Devgn said when asked about the backlash Dosanjh is facing.
The backlash in question stems from the fact that ‘Sardaar Ji 3’ stars Hania Amir, a Pakistani actress. This casting decision has drawn fierce criticism from certain sections of the public, especially in light of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir.
Many social media users have called for a ban on Dosanjh. Meanwhile, trade associations such as the All Indian Cine Workers Association and the Federation of Western India Cine Employees have publicly condemned the collaboration.
But Devgn wasn’t quick to take sides. Instead, he advocated for dialogue and understanding.
“When there are two differing points of view, the best thing to do is sit down and resolve it through conversation,” he said. “I’m not here to blame anyone or say this side is right and the other is wrong. These things require discussion, not outrage.”
While Dosanjh himself has remained largely silent on the matter, the film’s low-profile release strategy, avoiding Indian screens, has not gone unnoticed and has fueled speculation about industry pressure and public sentiment.
“In this industry, we often deal with complex situations. Everyone has their reasons. But rather than judge, it’s better to communicate,” he concluded.
