Babul Supriyo, minister for IT and electronics, advocated that in order to receive funding, start-ups need to inspire the private sector to get funds. The government can support them with policies and infrastructure.
Mr Supriyo, while addressing a special session on Runway to Start-ups, also advocated that it was important for the private sector to shirk ranks. Angel investors and venture capitalists to continue their support to fund start-ups should be ready to take risks for the benefit of the country.
