Meanwhile, the Ganga Vilas Luxury Cruise, which left Kolkata on December 22, reached Varanasi on Tuesday.

A group of 33 Swiss tourists en route to Dibrugarh by the Ganga Vilas Cruise have reached the Varanasi Babatpur Airport on Tuesday. The tourists were welcomed with the tunes of Shehnai and Dhobia folk dance. From Babatpur, the tourists were taken to Ramnagar Port in a luxury vehicle. 

Prime Minister, Narendra Modi will virtually flag off the Ganga Vilas Cruise to Dibrugarh on January 13.

According to the officials, after boarding the cruise at Ramnagar, the tourists visited the Ramnagar Fort in the evening and later watched the Ganga Aarti while boating. After watching the Aarti, the tourists came back on the cruise and will have the nightstay on Ganga Vilas Cruise.

They visited Chunar Fort and then to Ghantaghar in Mirzapur. On January 12, cultural events will be held at Ravidas Ghat for these tourists. The tourist group consists of 32 members and a German guide. 

Meanwhile, the Ganga Vilas Luxury Cruise, which left Kolkata on December 22, reached Varanasi on Tuesday. This cruise, will go on an adventurous journey for 51 days passing through Bangladesh for 15 days. 

After this, it will go to Dibrugarh through the Brahmaputra river in Assam. This cruise will pass through a total of 27 river systems of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Bangladesh and Assam. The rivers Ganges, Meghna and Brahmaputra will fall on the way. 

The cruise will enter the Bhagirathi, Hooghly, Bidyavati, Malata, Sundarbans river system, a tributary of the Ganges in Bengal and known by other names, the rivers Meghna, Padma, Jamuna in Bangladesh and then the Brahmaputra in Assam.
