Sensex was trading at 60,272.34 points,  down 474.97 points or 0.78 percent, while Nifty was trading at 17,983.60 points, down 117.60 points or 0.65 percent

Domestic stock indices lost all of their previous session’s gains on Monday and began trading lower on Tuesday.

In the opening session, Sensex was trading at 60,272.34 points,  down 474.97 points or 0.78 percent, while Nifty was trading at 17,983.60 points, down 117.60 points or 0.65 percent. Nifty IT, Nifty Bank, Nifty PSU Bank, and Nifty Financial Services saw the largest declines among the Nifty sectors indices.

The biggest loser this morning was TCS, one of the Nifty 50 businesses. It fell by more than 2%. The fall is attributed by analysts to lower-than-anticipated earnings for the quarter between October and December.

The IT services company said on Monday that its consolidated net profit increased 10.98% to Rs 10,883 crore for the three months that ended in December 2022. (Q3FY23). In the same period last year, the company reported a profit of Rs 9,806 crore.
