Netflix and TVF revolutionize Indian TV with weekly episodic shows

Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis, a popular talk show hosted by comedian Zach Galifianakis which features celebrity guests is now being made into a Netflix movie.
An official trailer of the film was unveiled on streaming giant YouTube.
Titled Between Two Ferns: The Movie, the star-studded trailer opens with Matthew McConaughey seated next to the comedian with the actor’s name misspelled as “McConnogay” at the bottom of the screen, with a caption that read “Dazed and Confused( also an actor)”.

Zack makes the actor feel uneasy with questions like,“Of all the things you can win an Oscar for, how surprised are you that you won one for acting?”
A major water leak at the interview set leaves the two drenched up to their knees.
While Will Ferrell makes a TV show executive appearance and asks Galifianakis to take Between Two Ferns on the road with 10 more episodes, Zack is seen measuring fern plants length, to interviewing Brie Larson about her first period.
Benedict Cumberbatch, Peter Dinklage among others make an appearance in the show that is purposely made to be an uncomfortable celebrity talk show.
Somewhere in the trailer, Zack can be seen saying to his friends, “Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits and ding-dongs, some people would say we’re the crazy ones, but I think we’re geniuses.”
The trailer closes with Zack stating that the film will not release in theatres.
Between Two Ferns: The Movie is co-written and directed by Scott Aukerman and will debut on Netflix on 20 September 2019.
