Although Real Madrid were off to a good start in their La Liga season opener, their second game was a consolatory draw against Real Valladolid. Post that, their failed transfer attempts and injury concerns have only added to their woes. Now, the news of Isco being injured owing to an injury has pushed them into a serious injury crisis.

Isco’s injury is a massive blow for Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane as he is the sixth first-team player to be ruled out with players like Eden Hazard, Brahim Diaz, Rodrygo, James Rodriguez, and Marco Asensio already being ruled out of the injury.

Following the injury of Isco, La Liga giants Real Madrid released a statement which read, “After the tests carried out today to our player Isco by the Real Madrid Medical Services he has been diagnosed with a muscular lesion in the right femoral biceps. Pending evolution.”

The latest injury update leaves Real Madrid with just twenty fit senior players and the La Liga campaign already going on. Meanwhile, Marco Asensio may not be available for selection anytime soon. The other players should be able to recover in time and play after the international break.

Madrid have bagged six points in two matches so far and will next face Villarreal away from home. Moreover, Real Madrid will get to know about their UEFA Champions League group stage fixtures on 29 August.
