Indian Cricket team manager Sunil Subramaniam likely to be called back from West Indies: Reports

Recent reports reveal that Indian cricket team manager Sunil Subramaniam is likely to be recalled from India’s tour of West Indies after he reportedly misbehaved with India’s high commission officers in the Caribbean Islands. Sunil Subramaniam is currently on duty and is part of the Indian team which is on a tour to West Indies. The tour will end on 3 September but Subramaniam will reportedly be recalled before that.

Reports also state that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had been asked to be cooperative with the Indian High Commissions in Guyana and Trinidad & Tobago since the Indian Cricket Team had to participate in a shoot on ‘Water Conservation’. However, Subramaniam misbehaved on the occasion.

Now it has been reported that he is set to be reprimanded by BCCI and it is being said that he will have to come back to India. The reports add that he has failed to perform his duties as expected.

Notably, Subramaniam is presently enjoying a 45-day extension along with Ravi Shastri and Bharat Arun and other management members. After the recent controversy, chances are very less that Sunil will be chosen once again for the same position.

For the position of the head coach as many as six candidates were shortlisted – Ravi Shastri, Mike Hesson, Tom Moody, Phil Simmons, Lalchand Rajput and Robin Singh.
