The Power of Belonging: 45 Years of The Art of Living
From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, from Imphal to Indore, the scale of the gathering at The Art of Living International Centre reflected the extraordinary breadth of his influence across public life.
Guru, The Movie, a documentary on the life of The Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, by Argentinian filmmaker Paula Schargorodsky, will be screened at the Cannes Film Festival’s Marche Du Film.
Ten minutes of the film, which is still in production stage, will be screened at the Cannes Film Festival’s Doc Corner section of Marche Du Film during its 50th anniversary.

The film is an extensively researched and documented project that made the director travel 80,000 miles across 63 cities to film the spiritual leader’s life as he met heads of states, guerrilla leaders, industrialists and others in trying to reveal the person behind him.

Ravi Shankar established the Art of Living Foundation in 1981. The volunteer-based NGO providing social support to people later expanded its ambit to many other domains and practices.
Paula Schargorodsky, an Argentine and Jewish filmmaker, has been documenting and filming independently for many years now. For her last work, 35 and Single, she took inspiration from her own life, her struggles and challenges in trying to finding answers to some questions from her life.
